Job summary

PIMCO is offering a 10-week Summer Internship – Trade Support Analyst in Dublin, Ireland. You must be an undergraduate with an expected graduation date of December 2027 to June 2028 and achieve a predicted 2:1. Expect to use Excel intensively and explore AI tools, with exposure to Python/SQL/VBA and financial markets.

You will support Portfolio Management, monitor portfolios, and participate in cross‑department projects, gaining hands‑on experience in fixed income and risk analysis.

Qualifications

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (calculations, data presentation, simple macros).
• Proficiency in at least one: Python, SQL or VBA.
• Interest in financial markets, macroeconomics and investment finance.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Finance/capital markets coursework recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure investment objectives are reflected across portfolios.
• Monitor positions and products against client guidelines with Compliance.
• Coordinate with Portfolio Management on re-balancing.
• Use risk systems to monitor exposures and assist with cash flow management.
• Conduct performance and attribution analyses.
