Job summary

PIMCO is seeking an analytically minded Portfolio Analyst/Associate to join its Dublin team. You will support portfolio management across European trading rooms, conduct investment analysis and risk monitoring, and help implement automation and AI-enabled workflows.

You will collaborate with Portfolio Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to guidelines, benchmarks and model weights, while enhancing efficiency through data analytics and programming (Python/SQL/VBA).

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, economics, mathematics or related analytical field.
• Strong fixed income knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and Bloomberg skills.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL or VBA.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Support trading desk activities and day-to-day portfolio maintenance.
• Rebalance portfolios to target weights with trading and cash desks.
• Monitor portfolio position weights against guidelines and benchmarks.
• Perform performance and attribution analyses for Portfolio Managers.
• Create and maintain risk monitoring reports.
