Job summary

F5 is hiring a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Network Planning and Acquisition to align sourcing with global infrastructure delivery. You will manage fiber, carrier, and data center contracts, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to secure capacity, reduce cost, and ensure performance for a growing global footprint.

Bring deep experience in telecom sourcing, peering, and contract negotiations, and lead complex negotiations across markets while guiding procurement strategy and risk

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategic sourcing, network procurement, or infra acquisition.
• Experience with fiber, transport, IP transit, and peering contracts.
• Strong commercial modeling and value‑driven negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies across fiber, wavelengths, IP transit, peering, and IX connectivity.
• Lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract awards with ISPs, carriers, utilities, and fiber providers.
• Define data center and colocation partners aligned with connectivity needs and long‑term economics.
• Collaborate across Supply Chain, Network Engineering, Finance, Product, and Legal to translate capacity signals into sourcing plans.
