Job summary

EirGrid Group is seeking a Public Engagement Manager to lead the design and execution of strategic engagement initiatives across Ireland, the UK and the EU. You will manage a team of Community Liaison Officers and Senior Engagement Specialists to deliver the Public Engagement Strategy, building strong external partnerships and guiding engagement across grid projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business/Communications/PR or Marketing with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in external communications via social media platforms and fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing a team of high performing practitioners.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills; able to work on own initiative.
• Project management skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of key strategic engagement initiatives and external partnerships.
• Deliver a range of engagement initiatives under the Public Engagement Strategy.
• Manage and direct priorities for a team of Community Liaison Officers and Senior Engagement Specialists.
• Maintain holistic oversight of consultation and engagement strategies across grid development projects.
• Contribute to EirGrid’s approach to Public Engagement.
• Build external stakeholder relationships in Ireland, the UK and the EU.
• Identify new processes and initiatives to enhance engagement work.
• Track engagement performance, reporting and manage stakeholder risks.
• Collaborate with Team Leads to deliver the business plan for Public Engagement.
• Manage tenders, frameworks and external resources as required.
