Job summary

Phibro Animal Health Corporation is seeking a Strategic Program Lead at its Ireland - Sligo site. You will drive full lifecycle delivery of manufacturing site programs from strategic intent to benefits realization, aligning with site and business strategy.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage scope, budget and schedule, and ensure governance, compliance, and successful implementation of new capabilities within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Third level qualification required in Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management, Operations or related discipline.
  • 8–10 years’ experience in project/program management, capital project delivery, manufacturing ops or regulated environments.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional programs.
  • Experience managing scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, governance, stakeholder alignment & change control.
  • PM certification or Lean/Six Sigma desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of assigned manufacturing site programs from business case through execution and benefits realisation.
  • Translate site strategy into program plans with clear scope, milestones, governance and accountability.
  • Own site-level program governance, including steering committee preparation and executive reporting.
  • Manage program scope, integrated schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, assumptions and change control.
  • Integrate capital delivery with operational readiness and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate with functional leaders to secure resources and deliverables; manage competing site priorities.
  • Ensure program activities comply with EHS, GMP, quality, regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Communicate progress, risks, decisions and financial performance to Site Director and stakeholders.
  • Embed new capabilities, processes, and ways of working into site operations after project closure.

The Strategic Program Lead is an integral part of our Management team based out of our Ireland - Sligo site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the full lifecycle delivery of assigned manufacturing site programs, from strategic intent & business case through execution, operational readiness, regulatory support, handover & benefits realisation.
  • Translate site/business strategy into program plans, ensuring clear scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, governance, success measures & accountability.
  • Own program governance at site level, including preparation for steering committee reviews, SLT updates, above-site reporting, decision tracking & escalation management.
  • Own and manage program scope, integrated schedule, budget, resource plan, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies & change control process.
  • Integrate capital project delivery with operational readiness.
  • Lead cross-functional program teams.
  • Contract with functional leaders & base business owners to secure resources, work packages, deliverables & competing site priorities.
  • Manage program-level change control for scope, schedule, budget, resource, quality, compliance & operational impact changes.
  • Communicate program status, progress, risks, issues, decisions, financial performance & escalations clearly to the Site Director, SLT, steering committees & above-site stakeholders.
  • Ensure all program activities are delivered in compliance with EHS, GMP, quality, regulatory, financial, procurement & company governance.
  • Strategic implementation by ensuring new capabilities, processes, systems, assets & ways of working are embedded into site operations & sustained after project closure.
  • Accountability for program outcomes including delivery against objectives, business commitments, benefits, operational performance & site strategic priorities.
  • Strategic leadership with the ability to translate site & business strategy into executable program plans.
  • Lead full project & program delivery across scope, schedule, budget, resources, governance, risk, change control, operational readiness & benefits realisation.
  • Cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management, influencing, facilitation & decision-making skills in a matrix manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of operations, capital delivery, GMP, EHS, quality systems, validation, regulatory expectations & operational readiness requirements.
  • Financial and commercial acumen, including budget ownership, forecasting, business case management, cost control & benefits tracking.
  • Problem-solving & risk management skills, with the ability to identify interdependencies, remove barriers, make informed decisions & escrow.
  • Communication & executive reporting skills, with the ability to present complex program information clearly to site leadership & above-site stakeholders.
  • High level of ownership, resilience, adaptability & accountability for delivery in a dynamic regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborative with the ability to align diverse stakeholders, drive strategic implementation & sustain change.
Education & Experience
  • Third level qualification in Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in project/program management, capital project delivery, manufacturing operations, engineering, technical operations, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, animal health, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional programs.
  • Experience managing program scope, budget, schedule, resources, risks, issues, governance, stakeholder alignment & change control.
  • Project Management certification, Lean/Six Sigma qualification, or equivalent formal project delivery training is desirable.
