Job summary

Wallace Myers International in Dublin is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead purchasing and supplier management across the business. You will develop and deliver strategic procurement initiatives to secure cost savings and continuity of supply.

The role demands strong negotiation skills, experience in food manufacturing, and proficiency with ERP systems and Excel. You will lead a purchasing team and drive supplier performance, compliance and value creation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a procurement or purchasing role in food manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of food industry standards and supplier approval (e.g. BRC).
• Confident with ERP systems and Excel.
• Strong communicator, organised and commercially minded.
• Degree or diploma in supply chain or procurement (e.g. CIPS) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the procurement strategy, focusing on cost savings and continuity of supply.
• Oversee purchasing of ingredients, raw materials and packaging.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Forecast demand with planning and production to keep stock levels right.
• Review supplier performance, quality and compliance, including audits.
• Report on savings, supplier performance and spend.
• Lead and develop the purchasing team.
