Wallace Myers International is seeking a Buyer to manage purchasing for a food manufacturing operation, ensuring production is always supplied. The role involves placing and tracking orders, sourcing suppliers and negotiating pricing, and coordinating with planning and production teams to forecast needs.

The ideal candidate will have buyer/purchasing experience, strong negotiation and supplier communication skills, and be confident with ERP systems and Excel.

Competenze

Experience as a buyer or in purchasing, ideally in food manufacturing.
Strong negotiation and supplier communication skills.
Experience with ERP systems and Excel advantageous.
Organised, detail-focused and able to meet deadlines.

Mansioni

Place and track purchase orders for ingredients, raw materials and packaging.
Source suppliers and negotiate pricing, terms and delivery.

The role

Place and track purchase orders for ingredients, raw materials and packaging
Source suppliers and negotiate pricing, terms and delivery
Monitor stock levels and forecast needs with planning and production
Resolve delivery, quality and invoice issues with suppliers
Keep supplier records and documentation up to date
Report on supplier performance and cost savings

About you

Experience as a buyer or in purchasing, ideally in food manufacturing
Good negotiation and supplier communication skills
Confident with ERP systems and Excel
Organised, detail-focused and able to work to deadlines
