Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking an experienced Procurement Category Manager in Ireland to own end-to-end spend portfolios. The role focuses on structured sourcing, price stability, supplier governance, and data-driven cost optimization across multiple categories.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in procurement or commercial management, with strong ERP skills (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics), and a track record of cross-functional leadership and contract negotiations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Buyer/Category Manager or related roles.
• Experience managing complex tenders, contract negotiations and long-term supplier agreements.
• Autonomy, initiative and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
• ERP systems proficiency (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics) and data analysis capabilities.
• Degree in Business or related discipline; professional certification desirable (CIPS/PMP).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end management of assigned procurement categories.
• Lead structured RFx processes and manage contract variations.
• Use data-driven evaluation models to secure pricing and SLAs.
• Collaborate with operational managers and stakeholders to align requirements with strategy.
• Support ERP implementations and migration of procure-to-pay processes.
• Review procurement workflows and design improvements for efficiency.
