Job summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with national, regional, digital and specialist journalists.
• Prepare and distribute press releases, media statements and briefing notes.
• Pitch stories and opinion pieces to print, broadcast and online outlets.
• Coordinate media events and press conferences.
• Assist with speeches and opinion pieces.
• Prepare elected representatives for television, radio and podcast interviews.
• Conduct post-interview reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop messaging around key campaigns and policy announcements.
• Monitor media coverage and identify emerging issues.
• Develop rapid-response and accurate communications during fast-moving political events.
