Job summary

Coimisiún na Meán is seeking a Head of Governance and FOI on a specified purpose contract to lead FOI program delivery and governance across the organisation. The role supervises FOI activities, training, and records management, reporting to the COO and Governance & Secretariat leadership.

The ideal candidate has extensive governance and FOI experience, strong leadership, and a track record of implementing robust compliance frameworks within a public service environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' management experience in governance or similar role.
• Detailed knowledge of FOI legislation and related management experience.
• Experience with governance compliance frameworks and code of practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead FOI function and FOI decision making.
• Roll out FOI processes and training.
• Develop and monitor governance policies and compliance schedules.
• Oversee Records Management within the Governance Team.
• Support climate action reporting and governance reporting.
