Job summary

The National Gallery of Ireland invites applications for a permanent Head of Finance in the Corporate Services division. The role leads the Finance department, ensuring statutory reporting, financial management and procurement across the Gallery, reporting to the Director of Corporate Services.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with IAASA membership, strong post-qualification experience in accounting and a track record of senior management leadership within a public sector

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with IAASA membership
• Significant post-qualification accounting experience
• Public sector experience desirable
• Senior management experience

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the Gallery's finance function and statutory reporting
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversee procurement processes and contract management
• Coordinate annual budgets and monitor performance against budget
• Manage internal and external audits and prepare financial statements
• Provide financial information for parliamentary and board inquiries

ACA/CIMA/ACCA with IAASA
