Job summary

NFP, an Aon company, is hiring a Claims Handler to support our growing commercial insurance team in Ireland. You will provide administration, progression and advocacy on client claims, advise on policy coverage, and negotiate settlements with insurers and representatives.

You will handle First Notification of Loss, monitor progress, and provide technical claims advice to Sales Account Executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in managing commercial general insurance claims.
• Professional insurance qualification – APA qualified.
• Experience handling Property, Casualty and Motor claims.
• Experience in a Commercial Insurance setting.
• Knowledge of Consumer Protection Code regulatory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with enquiries from clients, insurers and third parties in a professional and timely manner.
• Managing client’s claims including advice on cover and indemnity.
• Managing the First Notice of Loss process to mitigate losses and leakage.
• Monitoring progress on outstanding claims and providing feedback to clients and Executives.
• Liaising with Insurers, Loss Adjusters and other third parties.
• Providing technical/administrative support to broker teams to support client relationships.
• Undertake other duties as assigned commensurate with the role.
• Deal with claims on behalf of carriers on delegated authority where agreements exist.
• Support leadership on process improvements and best practices.
