Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Security Architect to join an established organisation in Ireland. You will strengthen security architecture, manage technology risk and ensure secure solutions across a complex IT environment.

You will work with IT, infrastructure, cloud and project teams to shape security strategy and embed best-practice controls across production platforms and change initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT security architecture across complex enterprise systems.
• Ability to design and document security architectures at conceptual, logical and physical levels.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF, PCI DSS and CIS Controls.
• Cloud security expertise across AWS and Azure with on-premises integration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT security risk assessments and identify mitigating controls.
• Provide security architecture guidance across the project lifecycle.
• Translate requirements into secure, scalable architecture designs.
• Assess risks and controls against industry frameworks and standards.
• Define and enhance enterprise and application security standards.
• Support risk management activities and reduce technology risks.
• Evaluate security technologies and propose aligned solutions.
• Develop architecture proposals and business cases for improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure, fit-for-purpose solutions.
