Job summary

MCS Group is recruiting a Senior AI & Transformation Strategy Lead for a 6- to 12-month day-rate contract in Ireland. The role focuses on aligning AI, data and digital technology with capital investment decisions and programme delivery.

You will assess the current investment portfolio, identify AI-enabled opportunities and develop a delivery roadmap, working with executives and senior stakeholders to realise measurable business benefits.

Qualifications

Significant senior experience in strategy, business transformation or digital transformation.
Practical experience developing and implementing AI initiatives.
Track record of taking concepts through to measurable business outcomes.
Experience building new AI or digital capabilities, ideally from the ground up.
Strong commercial judgement and ability to develop business cases.
Ability to influence and challenge executive teams and senior programme leaders.
Sufficient technical knowledge to assess proposed solutions and work with data scientists, engineers and architects.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and organisational change.

Responsibilities

Review and shape a capital investment programme through AI and digital transformation.
Develop an AI and data strategy aligned with business priorities and operational challenges.
Assess potential applications for generative AI, agentic technologies and analytics.
Build business cases and investment proposals with clear benefits and success measures.
Prioritise opportunities, shape pilots and develop an implementation roadmap.
Lead collaboration across business, technology and external delivery teams.
Support required process, organisational and behavioural changes for adoption.
