Job summary

Quinn Downes Group in Ireland is seeking a Stores Manager to maintain an efficient, well-organised stores operation and to manage the plant and tools register across projects.

You will coordinate with multiple sites, ensure accurate stock records, enforce inventory procedures, and support timely emergency deliveries while keeping calibration and asset registers up to date.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organisation, and good communication with suppliers and site teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a Stores (stores management).
• Knowledge of mechanical industry fittings and plant is advantageous.
• Full, clean driving licence is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and highly organised.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the receipt, safe storage and distribution of goods, with accuracy.
• Monitoring inventory levels and performing regular stock checks.
• Identifying low turnover materials and planning stock reductions.
• Enforcing inventory procedures, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the stores.
• Managing the quarantine area and returning inaccuracies to suppliers.
• Monthly site visits to ensure on-site stock only when required.
• Managing the tools and equipment asset registers.
• Ensuring calibration of equipment annually with up‑to‑date certificates.
• Processing equipment requests with sign-in/out and location recording.
• Arranging emergency deliveries when required.
