Job summary

Intersport Elverys is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead daily operations across our Tuam store. You will drive sales, manage a team, control stock, and ensure excellent customer service in line with brand standards.

You will recruit and coach staff, implement visual merchandising, monitor KPIs, and maintain store health and safety. This role requires 2–3 years retail management and a passion for sport and community engagement.

Qualifications

• 2/3 years retail management experience (dependent on store grade).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and leadership skills.
• Passionate about the delivery of an excellent customer experience with an understanding of how this drives sales and affects the bottom line.
• Experience in Visual Merchandising desirable.
• Strong product knowledge.
• Proficient IT knowledge including Excel, Email, SAP.
• 3rd Level Business/Retail Management Qualification beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• In charge of day-to-day store operations including sales, team management, customer experience, security, health and safety, stock and resources planning.
• Meet and exceed store targets and KPIs.
• Recruit, train, coach and manage team members in line with company policies.
• Manage cash, wage costs, budgets and systems administration as required (TMS, BC, etc).
• Drive visual merchandising to engage and educate the consumer.
• Ensure in-store services are staffed and promoted (e.g., Safesize, Assisted Selling).
• Be security conscious and protect stock according to guidelines.
• Identify customer requirements and develop additional non-direct business.
• Implement projects in line with company expectations.
• Deliver store standards in line with business expectations.
• Key holder and main contact for alarm activations.
• Provide cover for other stores as required.
