Job summary

Intersport Elverys in Ireland is seeking a Store Manager to oversee day-to-day store operations, leading a team to deliver an outstanding customer experience and achieve key performance indicators. You will drive merchandising, staff development and safe, compliant operations across the store.

Balance cash handling, wage costs and stock control with a focus on sales growth and high store standards. The role requires strong leadership and a passion for retail excellence.

Qualifications

• 2/3 years retail management experience (dependent on store grade).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and leadership skills.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer experience and understanding its impact on sales.
• Experience in Visual Merchandising desirable.
• Strong product knowledge.
• Proficient IT knowledge including Excel, Email, SAP.
• 3rd Level Business/Retail Management Qualification beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations in the store, including sales, team management, customer experience, security, health & safety, stock and resources management.
• Meet and exceed store targets and KPIs.
• Recruit, train, coach and manage team members in line with company policies, ensuring fairness and consistency.
• Manage cash, wage costs, budgets and systems administration as required (TMS, BC, etc).
• Drive excellent Visual Merchandising to engage and educate the customer.
• Ensure in-store services are well staffed and promoted (e.g., Safesize, Assisted Selling).
• Be security conscious and follow company guidelines to deter pilferage and protect stock.
• Responsible for Health & Safety in store and staff training.
• Identify customer requirements and develop additional non-direct business.
• Implement projects in line with company expectations and maintain store standards.
• Key holder and main call-out person in alarm activations; provide cover for other stores as needed.
