Job summary

Intersport Elverys in Ireland is seeking a Store Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, drive sales, and lead a store team to meet KPIs.

You will recruit, train, coach, manage stock, and ensure health and safety, security, and customer service standards across the store network.

This role offers exposure to merchandising, budgeting, and cross-store support with a focus on delivering an exceptional retail experience.

Qualifications

• 2/3 years retail management experience (dependent on store grade).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and leadership skills.
• Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience and understanding its impact on sales.
• Experience in Visual Merchandising desirable.
• Strong product knowledge.
• Proficient IT knowledge including Excel, Email, SAP.
• 3rd Level Business/Retail Management Qualification beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations, including sales, staff management, customer experience, security, health and safety, and stock control.
• Meet and exceed store targets and KPIs.
• Recruit, train, coach and manage team members in line with policies.
• Manage cash, wage costs, budgets and systems administration as required (TMS, BC, etc).
• Drive excellent Visual Merchandising to engage and educate the consumer.
• Ensure in-store services are well staffed and promoted (e.g., Safesize, Assisted Selling).
• Be security conscious and protect stock according to guidelines.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance across the store.
• Identify customer needs and develop additional non-direct business.
• Support the successful implementation of projects and store standards.
• Act as key holder and main call-out for alarm activation.
• Provide cover for other stores as required.
• Duties may vary over time to support store operations.

Our Store Management teams are responsible for the overall operations and sales performance of our stores and ensuring that the right people and product are in place to achieve and exceed Company expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Every aspect of day-to-day operations in the store, including sales, team members, customer experience, security, health safety, stock and resources management.
• Meet and exceed store targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Recruit, train, coach and manage team members in line with company policies, ensuring fairness and consistency to all.
• Manage all cash, wage costs, budgets and systems administration as required (TMS, BC, etc).
• Drive excellent Visual Merchandising in store to engage, inspire and educate the consumer.
• Ensure all in-store services are suitably manned and promoted, e.g. Safesize, Assisted Selling, etc.
• Be security conscious ensuring to follow company security guidelines aimed at deterring pilferage and protecting stock.
• Responsible for overall Health Safety in store. Ensure all team members are fully trained and following company policies and procedures with regard to Health Safety.
• Identify current and future customer requirements develop additional non-direct business.
• Ensure successful implementation of projects in line with company expectations.
• Deliver excellent store standards consistently in line with business expectations.
• Key holder and main call out person in the event of alarm activation.
• Provide cover for other stores as required.
• Any other activities as required in order to ensure the successful operation of the store.
