Job summary

Excel Recruitment is recruiting a Store Manager for a busy convenience store in Co. Mayo. You will take full responsibility for day-to-day operations, lead a dedicated team, drive sales, customer service and operational excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen and the ability to manage stock, labour, compliance and standards while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager within a supermarket, convenience store, or grocery retail environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with a proven ability to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing, motivating, and developing retail teams.
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing stock control, labour scheduling, and operational performance.
• Customer-focused with a hands-on management style and a commitment to delivering high standards.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and adapt to changing business needs.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with company procedures, food safety, health & safety, and cash handling policies
• Work closely with senior management to implement business strategies and support continued store growth
