Job summary

Elk Recruitment’s client seeks a Store Assistant (DIY/HW background) for a permanent, full-time role in Carlow. You will help customers, merchandise products, run the till, unload deliveries, and support promotions.

The job offers a 40-hour week, onsite parking, and a competitive hourly rate. Flexibility and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers & other colleagues on the shop floor with a friendly and helpful demeaner.
• Merchandising products in-store, ensuring the sales floor is kept clean, tidy and safe.
• Operating the cash register, handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Unloading of stock/deliveries.
• Supporting promotional activities and special store events to drive sales.
• You may be required to undertake other duties from time to time to support in other areas of our store.
