Job summary

Kilkenny Design in Swords is hiring a Stockroom Assistant to support exceptional customer service and maintain accurate stock control. You will move stock to the sales floor, manage supplier deliveries and inter-store transfers, and ensure documentation is done correctly.

You will work to keep the stockroom organized, compliant with health and safety standards, and ensure barcodes match the system across SKUs. This is a fixed-term role with potential for permanence.

Responsibilities

• Move stock from stockroom to sales floor.
• Manage stock movements between stores and from suppliers.
• Address stock discrepancies when they occur.
• Receipt stock and record inwards/outwards movements.
• Process and investigate claims on faulty goods, late or short deliveries.
• Ensure all paperwork for credits is completed and recorded.
• Keep stockroom clean, accessible and compliant with health & safety rules.
• Maintain SKU accuracy and correct barcoding in the system.

About You

You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating product knowledge, and building quality customer relationships to achieve business goals whilst being an ambassador for our values and the Kilkenny brand.

You will also:

• Key responsibility of the stockroom assistant is to get stock to the sale floor.
• Manage all stock movements from suppliers and that are transferred between the stores.
• Follow through with any discrepancies that arise with stock.
• Receipt stock and keep accurate records for all inwards and outwards inventory movements.
• Process claims where required on faulty goods, late deliveries, and short deliveries.
• Investigate claims where required on faulty goods, late deliveries, and short deliveries.
• Work with your manager to ensure all paperwork associated with credits are completed and recorded accurately.
• Ensuring the stockroom is always kept clear and accessible.
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to.
• Managing SKU accuracy that all stock barcoded match correctly to the system.
• Barcoding of stock items when required.
