Job summary

Red Chair Recruitment in Ireland is seeking an experienced TEKLA Structural Steel Detailer to join our client’s team in Wexford. You will model, detail, and production-ready drawings for structural and architectural steel, guiding projects from initial modelling through fabrication and installation.

The role requires at least 3 years in structural steel detailing, strong Tekla Structures skills, and the ability to read technical drawings, coordinate with engineers and fabricators, and deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in structural steel detailing.
• Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures and steel fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures for fabrication and erection.
• Prepare general arrangement, assembly, single-part and detailed connection drawings.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators and site teams to resolve queries and clashes.
• Ensure drawings, dimensions, connections and material specs meet project standards.
• Generate material lists, bolt lists and fabrication data for workshop production.
• Manage assigned projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.

We are seeking an experienced TEKLA Structural Steel Detailer to join our team in Wexford. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to a variety of structural steel, architectural steel, and bespoke fabrication projects, from initial modelling through to manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 3D structural steel models using Tekla Structures, ensuring designs are practical, detailed, and suitable for fabrication and erection.
• Prepare general arrangement drawings, assembly drawings, single-part drawings and detailed connection drawings.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, fabricators, and site teams to resolve technical queries and identify potential clashes.
• Ensure drawings, dimensions, connections, and material specifications meet project requirements and relevant industry standards.
• Generate material lists, bolt lists, and fabrication data to support efficient workshop production.
• Manage assigned projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements
