Job summary

Marcus P. Graham Ironworks Ltd. is seeking an experienced Tekla Detailer to deliver accurate 3D models and fabrication drawings for a growing structural steel and architectural metalwork team.

You will generate NC files, material and bolt lists, review drawings, and coordinate with engineers, architects and workshop staff to resolve detailing issues, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines. This role is based in Arklow and requires fluent English.

Qualifications

• Advanced/Higher Certificate is preferred.
• Fabrication experience: 5 years preferred.
• Fluent English required.
• In-person work location: Arklow, Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures and fabrication drawings.
• Generate NC files, material lists and bolt lists for procurement.
• Review architectural and structural drawings and specifications; coordinate with engineers, architects, PMs and workshop personnel.
• Identify and resolve clashes and fabrication constraints before production; ensure drawings comply with project specs.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support smooth delivery from design through installation.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Tekla Detailer to join our growing structural steel and architectural metalwork team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models and fabrication drawings, coordinating with project stakeholders, and supporting the efficient delivery of projects from design through to installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures.
• Generate fabrication, assembly, and erection drawings.
• Produce NC files, Material lists and bolt lists for procurement.
• Review architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, project managers, and workshop personnel to resolve detailing issues.
• Identify and resolve clashes and fabrication constraints before production.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with project specifications.
• Monitor and report variations between the quoted scope of works and the approved model, assisting with the identification of potential cost and programme implications.
• Liaise with the production and installation teams to support smooth project delivery.
• Maintain drawing revisions and document control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required to support the successful delivery of projects.

Pay: Up to €60,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Arklow, County Wicklow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
