Job summary

Software Placements is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Automation Engineer in Ireland to design and develop automation platforms using Python, Terraform and Ansible. You will build reusable IaC modules and self-service infrastructure, and lead automation across cloud and virtualization workloads.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and automated compliance workflows, provisioning across Nutanix, VMware and KVM, and support hybrid cloud across AWS and Azure while mentoring other engineers.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years' experience in Software/SRE/Platform Eng, Infra Automation or DevOps.
• Expert-level Terraform and strong Ansible experience.
• IaC, APIs, Git, CI/CD and GitOps experience.
• Automating at least two of Nutanix AHV/Prism/AOS, VMware vSphere/ESXi or KVM/QEMU.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong understanding of infra architecture, networking, and hybrid clouds.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, infra platforms, Python web frameworks, observability or policy-as-code is a plus.

• Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes, internal developer platforms, Python web frameworks, observability or policy-as-code would be advantageous.
