Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - SRE to enhance reliability of Grafana Cloud databases across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will partner with product engineering squads, own production reliability for high-SLA customers, and design automation to scale reliability practices.

You will lead incident response, define SLOs, and improve observability while reducing toil. Remote opportunity with international candidate pool and Ireland base compensation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years engineering experience, 4+ in SRE/production engineering.
• Strong Kubernetes experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure and familiarity with IaC tooling.
• Leadership experience, mentoring engineers and driving projects.
• Experience operating multi-tenant production systems.
• Designing and implementing SLOs.

Responsibilities

• Own production reliability for high-SLA and complex environments.
• Define and evolve per-tenant SLOs and reliability models.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Improve observability and reduce toil through automation.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to influence product strategy.
