Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault tolerant systems.
• Ability to triage and debug production issues.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.
• Able to effectively communicate complex technical subjects to a variety of audiences.
• Familiar with Agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Agile mindset; able to embrace new initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Thrives in an entrepreneurial, hyper-growth environment where priorities evolve regularly and decisions are made quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team or teams that develops, tests, documents, and deploys high quality software into production, ensuring extensibility and scalability.
• Clarify requirements and assist with coding/story estimates.
• Participate in on-call rotation to troubleshoot issues.
• Identify and resolve roadblocks and escalate when needed to find a path forward.
• Mentor and coach other engineers to reduce onboarding burden and share best practices.
• Influence architecture decisions to improve performance and business value.
