Job summary

eBay is seeking a Lead/Staff Engineer for Information Security's new Security Automation team in Dublin. You will own the architectural vision, design distributed systems, data pipelines, and event-driven architectures across multi-cloud infra, private Kubernetes clusters, and BI platforms.

You will mentor engineers, translate complex business needs into robust blueprints, and guide implementation of AI tooling while ensuring security and scalability, including sub-second Tableau dashboards.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design scalable ETL pipelines, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Whiteboard complex multi-cloud data flows and defend technology choices.
• Experience designing and securing data platforms and dashboards.
• Ability to lead architecture decisions and set engineering standards.
• Mentor mid-to-senior engineers and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect overarching system design for internal security products including a unified asset graph and multi-cloud data flows.
• Define engineering standards, CI/CD practices, testing, and reviews to treat automation as Tier-1 software.
• Lead challenging technical efforts like bridging private cloud CMDB with public cloud assets.
• Design data models and storage strategies for high-volume security telemetry and Tableau dashboards.
