Job summary

Beacon Hospital in Dublin is seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join the Medical/Surgical Inpatient Unit, caring for patients across Neurosurgical, ENT, Thoracic and Orthopaedic services. You will provide direct nursing care, perform assessments, administer treatments, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to ongoing service development in a demanding acute hospital environment.

The role requires flexibility, night coverage when needed, and a commitment to high-quality patient

Qualifications

• NMBI Registered General Nurse licence in good standing.
• Experience in Neurosurgery, ENT, Thoracic or other acute surgical specialties is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients.
• Take nursing histories and plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Observe and record signs and symptoms and revise care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document nursing care and maintain patient privacy.
• Follow policies and participate in discharge planning and handovers.
