Job summary

Beacon Hospital in Dublin is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the Theatre, Anaesthetics and PACU department. The role requires registration with NMBI, BLS/ACLS, and a minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care, and may cross-train to PACU as needed. The role reports to the CNM2 and is on-site at Beacon Hospital.

Qualifications

• NMBI Registered General Nurse licence.
• BLS & ACLS
• Minimum of 1 year post registration experience in an acute hospital setting
• A management course is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participate as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver quality patient care by efficient management of time and resources while demonstrating leadership and clinical expertise.
• In Anaesthetics, participate in ongoing professional development in line with service demands.
• Communicate with the Clinical Coordinator and provide support as required.
• Manage day-to-day operational requirements and collaborate with other departments.
• Ensure safe equipment operation and adequate supplies in an efficiently arranged setting.
• Adhere to department controls and participate in regulatory and mandatory survey processes.
• Maintain documentation to professional, legible standards.
• Familiar with the Professional Scope of Practice Framework (NMBI 2000).
• Contribute to learning opportunities and induction of new staff.
