Our client is seeking experienced Staff Nurses with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience in Emergency Department nursing . Candidates should have strong clinical assessment, prioritisation, and emergency care skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast paced multidisciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accountable and responsible for own professional practice, with a clear understanding of the Scope of Professional Practice, Code of Professional Conduct, and Beacon Hospital policies, guidelines, and competencies relevant to practice.

Provision of high-quality nursing care through the use of an individualised system of care, in line with agreed nursing standards.

Monitoring and management of all complaints and incidents, with prompt escalation to the Clinical Coordinator to ensure full investigation and appropriate follow-up.

Ongoing evaluation and maintenance of high standards of patient care, with particular focus on nursing care within the department.

Supervision and support of junior nursing staff during each span of duty, providing appropriate guidance, direction, and assistance.

Promotion of a positive learning environment and encouragement of continuous professional development.

Engagement with current developments in nursing practice to enhance professional knowledge and clinical skills.

Identification and contribution to potential areas of nursing research within the specialty to improve patient outcomes and quality of care.

Requirements

Registered or eligible for registration in the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.

Minimum of three year post-registration nursing experience.

Six months’ experience in an emergency or acute care setting is desirable.

Ability to use own initiative.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritize tasks.

Commitment to delivering a high-quality patient-focused service.

Willingness to undertake additional training and perform the extended role of the nurse.
