Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation and nursing records.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Promote patient safety by adhering to infection prevention and control protocols and clinical governance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families.
  • Safely operate and maintain clinical equipment in accordance with hospital guidelines.
  • Participate in shift handovers, ward rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support junior nurses, healthcare assistants, and nursing students where appropriate.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions within scope of practice.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic clinical environment.
  • Participate in mandatory training, continuing professional development (CPD), and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold patient dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and person-centred care at all times.
  • Perform any other duties appropriate to the role as assigned by the Nurse Manager or Clinical Nurse Manager.
Requirements
