Job summary

Avista is seeking a Staff Nurse for relief contracts to support individuals with intellectual disabilities in Limerick, Dublin and North Tipperary. The role requires up-to-date NMBI registration and RNID, with a commitment to person-centred, holistic care and strong communication.

Applicants should possess Level 1 Avista competency and the ability to work in a team, with driving licence and English proficiency. Closing date: 31 December 2026. Salary subject to public sector experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Registration with NMBI and RNID is required.
• Knowledge of HIQA and New Directions is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support people with intellectual disabilities in a person-centred approach.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Contribute to the delivery of services across day, residential, and respite supports where needed.
