Job Purpose

Requirements
  • NMBI Registration: Must be currently registered on the Irish live register with an active PIN.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Clear understanding of HIQA Standards and the Health Act Regulations 2013.

  • Language: Fluent in English (both verbal and written).

  • Skills: Strong clinical, communication, and basic IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Desired Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a residential care setting.

Key Responsibilities

As a Staff Nurse, you will lead by example on each shift to foster a supportive, healing atmosphere:

  • Resident Care: Plan and deliver a high standard of evidence-based, individualized care plans.

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of Healthcare Assistants, allocating duties and supervising performance.

  • Clinical Duties: Manage admissions, discharges, and medication administration safely and accurately.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear, concise, and accurate electronic Care Notes in accordance with legislation.

  • Safety & Compliance: Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations while participating actively in the HIQA inspection process.
