Job summary

St. Michael’s House in Ireland is inviting applications for a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join our Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT).

The role focuses on delivering a high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy service to children with complex needs within a family-centred, community-based framework. The successful candidate must be CORU registered and have post-qualification experience with children with complex needs, with excellent communication and time management skills and the

Staff Grade Physiotherapist

Children’s Disability Network Team

Full Time Permanent Post

This is an exciting opportunity for a staff Grade Physiotherapist to join our service to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a disability.

The Physiotherapist is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) who will provide a quality evidence based service in line with Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles including family centred practice.

We currently have a permanent position available in the Coastal Children’s Disability Network Team.

The successful candidate must have the following:

Be fully registered on the Physiotherapy Register maintained by the Physiotherapy Registration Board at CORU

  • Proven post qualification or clinical placement experience working with children with complex needs arising from a disability.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner.
  • Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a team.
  • Committed to the delivery of quality, family-centred, community-based services
  • Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) in the relevant area.
  • Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including Autism, Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.
  • Experience of working within an interdisciplinary team framework.
  • Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised postural management course completed.
  • Full clean driving licence and use of a car.

Salary scale: Point 1 45,514 to Point 14 LSI 65,608

  • Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
