Job summary

Children’s Health Ireland is seeking a staff grade Occupational Therapist to join a rotational programme across CHI sites, spanning both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes rotations through Orthopaedics, Burns & Hand Therapy, Neurosciences, General Paediatrics, Cardiology and Mental Health, with potential cross-site duties as organisational needs evolve.

The successful candidate must be CORU-registered and hold a validated qualification in Occupational Therapy.

• Must be registered as an Occupational Therapist with CORU.

Responsibilities

• Rotational staff grade position across CHI sites and services.

• Participate in onboarding and comply with CHI commencement dates.

The post holder will fulfil the duties expected of a staff grade occupational therapist.

The post holder will fulfil the duties expected of a staff grade occupational therapist. This staff grade position is part of a rotational sequence with the opportunity to work across a number of medical and surgical clinical teams, and will involve opportunities to work across a variety of CHI sites, within both in-patient and out-patient settings. The clinical areas may include Orthopaedics, Burns & Hand Therapy, Neurosciences (Neurology & Neurosurgery), General Paediatrics (in-patient medical & surgical), Cardiology, Mental Health and Orthopaedics.

The successful candidate may be required to work across CHI sites and services in line with organisational requirements and the development of the new children’s hospital and associated services.

Essential Criteria

• A recognised validated qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Be registered as an Occupational Therapist with CORU
