Job summary

Enable Ireland invites applications for a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist in Kilkenny to deliver children’s OT services within the CDNT framework. You will work with a multidisciplinary team across clinics, schools and community settings to assess and support children aged 0–18 and their families.

The role requires CORU registration eligibility, a valid driving licence, and a commitment to ongoing service development.

Qualifications

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register (CORU).
• Must have current driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Eligible to work in the State and maintain annual CORU registration.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join our Children’s Disability Network Team 3.

Contract

• Contract Type: Contract 1 year
• Contract Hours: Full time
• Salary Scale: €42,384 - €61,945 pro rata per annum
• Annual Leave Entitlement: 32 pro rata per annum
• This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Overview Of The Post

Enable Ireland delivers children’s services through the Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT) under the national Progressing Disabilities Services (PDS) model for children and young people with complex needs arising from a disability. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a range of Occupational Therapist services for young people (0 – 18 years) and their families within an interdisciplinary framework. Service will include assessment and intervention, clinical supervision and ongoing service development. This will be delivered through a family centred approach across a variety of settings including the clinic, preschools, schools, children’s homes and community settings.

Essential Criteria

• Qualifications And Experience
• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
• Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
• Eligible to work in the State.
• Must have a current, valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Annual registration: On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
