Job summary

You will design lakehouse architectures on Databricks and AWS, delivering governed, reusable data products for analytics and decision-making.

The role requires 4+ years in data engineering, strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, PySpark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake, plus AWS cloud skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum four years of relevant professional work experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, Python, SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Experience with AWS cloud data services; Azure desirable.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and modern data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the Data Foundation to modernize the enterprise data ecosystem.
• Design data pipelines and architecture using Databricks, AWS, Python, SQL, Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Translate business needs into architecture decisions, plans, and reusable patterns.
• Develop batch, streaming, and event-driven pipelines to support analytics and AI/ML.
• Collaborate with product owners, supply chain, governance, and IT to align delivery with outcomes.
• Lead architecture discussions, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Break down initiatives into work packages and acceptance criteria for engineers.
• Coordinate contractors and vendors, providing technical direction.
• Set standards for data modeling, testing, CI/CD, observability, and data quality.
• Lead hands-on reviews with Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, SQL, dbt, Airflow.
