Job summary

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Staff Data Engineer to join the Orthopedics Supply Chain in Cork, Ireland. You will build a modern data foundation, design lakehouse on Databricks and AWS, and deliver reusable data products for analytics, BI, and AI.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, data engineers, ML teams, and external partners to turn business problems into scalable data solutions, while championing data quality and observability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum four years of professional data engineering experience.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, PySpark, and AWS.
• Familiarity with data lakehouse architectures and CI/CD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead modern data foundation architecture for analytics and AI.
• Design lakehouse architecture on Databricks and AWS.
• Develop batch, streaming, and real-time pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, data governance, and ML teams.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate contractors.
• Ensure data quality, observability, and security standards.
