Job summary

MongoDB is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineering Manager for the Storage Layer Services (SLS) team in Dublin. You will lead a small, senior SRE team building multi-tenant distributed storage services that underpin Atlas.

You will partner with software teams to define SLOs, shape capacity plans, and ensure durability and operational safety of the storage layer, while guiding architecture reviews and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building distributed software systems
• 2+ years leading engineering teams
• Customer‑focused mindset
• Efficiency and automation mindset
• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystems and modern IaC tooling
• Experience with stateful storage or databases at scale
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of 6-8 engineers, fostering a positive culture and removing blockers
• Define and drive a clear technical vision and roadmap for multi-tenant storage systems
• Contribute through hands-on technical work, including architecture reviews and PRs
• Act as the primary liaison for Storage Layer Services SRE, coordinating with other leaders
