Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II in RiskPS BizOps to help solve problems, automate processes, and drive best practices across platform services. You will partner with developers, operations and product teams to design scalable, reliable systems and to shift left in delivery.

The role emphasizes automation, push for proactive incident response, and strong communication to align priorities with business goals.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Experience in a financial environment preferred.
• Analytical/problem solving and planning skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement.
• Analyze ITSM activities of the platform and provide feedback loop to development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns
• Support services before they go live through system design consulting, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
• Scale systems sustainably through automation and evolving systems to improve reliability and velocity.
• Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Collaborate across a global team to coordinate efforts across time zones.
• Share knowledge and mentor junior resources
