Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Sr. Specialist, Product Experience Design, Crypto to shape the future of crypto solutions. You will design end-to-end user journeys, convert complex risk signals into intuitive experiences, and collaborate with product, PMT, and engineering teams to deliver customer-centric designs.

You will leverage Figma and design systems, contribute to experiments, and craft compelling decks for stakeholders in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a user experience function.
• Experience in enterprise software, fintech, payments, compliance or cybersecurity.
• Ability to execute tactical design outputs with senior support.
• Experience using COPILOT, Figma and other AI tools.
• Familiarity with design thinking principles.
• Passion to turn complexity into simple customer solutions.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and design systems.
• Comfort collaborating across Product, Engineering, Data Science.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end experiences for Crypto Solutions products, including onboarding, researching, monitoring, and reporting journeys.
• Apply UX methods to identify solutions, validate them, and create final deliverables for Engineering partners.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, PMTs, and Engineers to translate strategy into intuitive digital experiences.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs; validate with user research.
• Create communications and decks to pitch new product ideas to stakeholders.
• Support hands-on product-feature design within initiatives; ensure timely, quality deliverables.
• Work with senior peers to grow design skillset over time.

Overview

The Crypto Solutions team within Mastercard's Financial Crimes organization is driving the next generation of risk, compliance, and security solutions that enable financial institutions to safely participate in the rapidly evolving digital asset ecosystem. As traditional financial infrastructure converges with blockchain-based payment networks, the need for trusted, scalable, and intelligent risk management capabilities has never been greater.

We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design to help shape the future of Mastercard's Crypto Solutions portfolio. This role will be responsible for designing intuitive, customer-centric experiences that simplify complex risk, compliance, and security signals into actionable insights.

You will empathize with our customers to understand their needs and motivations, define user problems, design end-to-end journeys and experiment with these ideas to bring new designs – consistent with Mastercard's design standards – from concept through to development, working closely with Product, PMTs, and Engineers on a regular basis.

Role

• Design end-to-end user experiences for Crypto Solutions products, including onboarding, researching, monitoring, and reporting journeys.
• Apply best-practice UX methods to identify solutions to customer problems, experiment to validate them, and create final deliverables for Engineering partners.
• Work closely and regularly with Product Managers, PMTs, and Engineers to translate product strategy and customer needs into intuitive digital experiences.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, and validate them through user research and usability testing.
• Design communications and decks to pitch new product ideas and concepts to stakeholders.
• Support hands-on product-feature design within initiatives, contributing to timely, quality deliverables that meet stated goals.
• Work as part of a functional team, partnering with senior-level peers to gain experience and grow design skillset over time.

All About You

• Have hands-on experience in a user experience function, including a tactical skillset in designing and validating solutions that solve user problems.
• Have enterprise software, fintech, payments, compliance, fraud, cybersecurity, or comparable industry experience; digital asset or blockchain exposure is a plus.
• Demonstrate the ability to execute tactical design outputs, with support from senior-level peers as needed.
• Develop new designs leveraging Copilot, Figma Make & other generative AI tools.
• Familiarity with design thinking principles
• A passion to be the empathetic advocate for the customer by turning complexity into simple solutions.
• Have proficiency in Figma for UX prototyping and design systems.
• Experience leveraging design systems
• Be proficient in PowerPoint for communicating design concepts and product ideas.
• Be comfortable collaborating across Product, PMT, Engineering, and Data Science in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
