Job summary

MSD seeks a Senior MPS Specialist to lead and sustain our MPS program. You will deliver sitewide support, partner with the site MPS lead, and drive improvements aligned with company strategy. Training and coaching will build a culture of self-sustaining MPS capability while deploying initiatives across the organisation.

Key tasks include enabling World Class Supply through value stream design, and applying lean tools to reduce waste, improve processes, and foster high performance across teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive manufacturing facility and equipment knowledge.
• GMP knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work independently with integrity, energy and initiative.
• Deep knowledge of lean tools: Tier, Problem Solving, Leader Standard Work, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Provide sitewide MPS support and lead improvement projects as SME.
• Maintain an active MPS strategy aligned to site/company goals.
• Enable World Class Supply through value stream analysis and design.
• Deliver training and coaching to build self-sustaining MPS capability.
• Deploy MPS initiatives such as Closed Loop Management, Leader Standard Work, etc.
• Demonstrate behaviours to drive a high-performance culture daily.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior MPS Specialist.

MPS is an integrated production system for how the company designs, manages, and continuously improves our operations and supporting business processes, enabled through the development of our people.

What You Will Do

• Provide support sitewide to deliver significant business results through use of MPS. Support critical improvement projects as the MPS subject matter expert.
• Work with the site MPS lead to maintain an active MPS strategy for the site, linked to the site and company strategy.
• Enable the company World Class Supply objectives through Value Stream analysis/ Supply Chain Design on key franchises.
• Deliver training and coaching to build a culture of self-sustaining MPS capability.
• Deploy companywide MPS initiatives as required e.g. Closed Loop Management System Fundamentals of Tier, Problem Solving, Leader Standard Work, Hoshin etc.
• Demonstrate the mindsets and behaviours required to drive a high-performance culture in daily work.

What Skills You Will Need

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have

• Manufacturing facility and equipment knowledge and experience
• GMP compliance knowledge and experience beneficial, but not essential
• Be capable of working under own initiative with minimal direction, with high personal integrity, credibility, and energy.
• Possess a detailed knowledge of and demonstrated ability to employ multiple lean tools (e.g. Tier, Problem Solving Leader Standard Work, Challenge Statements, Value Stream Mapping, waste analysis, capacity analysis, creation of standard work, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban etc.).
• Possess excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and coach others to achieve results
• Possess excellent communication skills, and an ability to lead and influence at all levels. Ability to make an impact and influence without direct line authority.
• Knowledge of change execution management. Openness to and ability to effect change.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and produce quality deliverables.
• Proactive, structured, and logical problem-solving skills, respond to change in a positive and flexible manner
• A keen interest in people development with a demonstrated ability to motivate and coach others to achieve results
• Computer skills including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint etc.
