Job summary

McKesson in Cork is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead Payments, Travel & Expense, and disbursements for a multi-billion-dollar operation. You will manage a team of 9 local contributors and 5 offshore associates, driving accuracy, controls, and process improvements across vendor payments and expense reimbursements.

You will partner with Treasury, Sourcing & Procurement, and Finance, enforce policy compliance, and develop talent within the Payments organization, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Finance Operations, Shared Services, Payments, Accounts Payable, Treasury Operations, or a related environment.
• 2+ years of experience leading employees and managing team performance.
• Four-year degree or equivalent relevant business experience.
• Experience overseeing payment processing, disbursements, Travel & Expense, corporate cards, purchasing cards, or related financial operations.
• Experience managing operational controls, reconciliations, exceptions, service performance, and issue resolution.
• Demonstrated experience building stakeholder relationships and influencing across business and functional teams.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements, automation, or operational-efficiency initiatives.
• Knowledge of NACHA or related rules is a plus.

This pivotal role involves leading a dynamic team of 9 local contributors alongside 5 associates at our BPO provider location who oversee vendor payment disbursements, manage Travel & Expense reimbursements, and reconciliations. The position must be adept at influencing and nurturing talent, as engaging stakeholders and fostering development within the Payments organization are crucial aspects of this leadership role. Additionally, this role will be responsible for cultivating strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including Treasury and Sourcing & Procurement. Proficiency in utilizing treasury management systems, finance institution portals, and expense tools is essential. This role also demands rigorous enforcement of our 'Buy Smart, Send Smart' policies, Travel & Expense policies, and management of the corporate card and purchase card administration. Preferred: Candidates with a thorough understanding of NACHA (National Automated Clearing House Association) regulations and guidelines.
