Job summary

The Galtee Group are currently recruiting a Joiner/Carpenter for their site at Galtee Wood & Veneer, Cork Road, Ballylanders, Co. Limerick. This workshop-based role focuses on precision fabrication, assembly and finishing of custom timber products and structural joinery components.

Essential: 2 years' experience, Level 4 qualification. Remuneration is €36,605 per annum based on a 39-hour week. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, good measuring skills and the ability to work safely

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Joiner, Carpenter or similar workshop-based timber role.
• Level 4 qualification (Leaving Certificate/LCAL/LCVP).

Responsibilities

• Assemble and produce custom timber products, doors and joinery components.
• Measure, cut, shape and fit timber to drawings and specs.
• Sand, finish, gap-fill and prepare surfaces to a high standard.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Use hand tools and workshop equipment safely; maintain a clean, safe workshop.
• Work as part of a team with a focus on accuracy and craftsmanship.

Job Description

The Galtee Group are currently recruiting Joiner / Carpenter for their site located at Galtee Wood & Veneer, Cork Road, Ballylanders, Co. Limerick V35 TF76. This is a purely workshop-based role focusing on the precision fabrication, assembly and finishing of custom timber products and structural joinery components, including doors and specialised timber units. The role is suited to someone who takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, accuracy and attention to detail, and enjoys working with timber in a professional manufacturing environment.

Duties and responsibilities for this role include:

• Assemble and produce custom timber products, doors and specialised joinery components.
• Accurately measure, cut, shape and fit timber components to technical drawings and specifications.
• Carry out detailed sanding, finishing, gap-filling and surface preparation to a high standard.
• Complete quality checks to ensure finished products meet required specifications and standards.
• Use hand tools, workshop equipment and adhesives safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Work efficiently as part of a team while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, quality and craftsmanship.

Desired Experience: Proven 2 years of experience working as a Joiner, Carpenter or in a similar workshop-based timber manufacturing role, with experience working with timber products, joinery components and materials, and practical experience in the assembly, construction and finishing of timber products. Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, with excellent measuring, marking-out and practical problem-solving skills, the ability to work safely, accurately and efficiently as part of a team, and a reliable, positive and professional approach to work.

Remuneration for this role is €36,605 per annum based on standard 39 hour week.
