Job summary

Compass Group Ireland is recruiting a Specialist Hygiene Cleaning Operative to join our cleaning and facilities teams. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and will involve working across designated production and operational areas to maintain safety, hygiene and compliance.

You will receive full training on specialist cleaning techniques and procedures, and you will wear full PPE while performing duties in a warm environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety with the team.
• Clean and sanitise designated production and operational areas per site procedures.
• Carry out specialist hygiene cleaning tasks per schedules and work instructions.
• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitise floors, surfaces, equipment and touchpoints.
• Adhere to de-gowning and hygiene protocols before entering/exiting controlled areas.
• Ensure cleaning activities comply with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment per site procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report stock requirements.
• Respond promptly to hygiene or cleaning issues in the facility.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation where required.

We're currently recruiting a Specialist Hygiene Cleaning Operative to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Compass Group Ireland, contracted to 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Working as part of a specialist cleaning team, you will play a vital role in ensuring critical production and operational areas remain safe, compliant, and hygienic at all times. Full training will be provided to equip you with the specialist cleaning techniques and procedures required for the role.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Working alongside the cleaning and facilities team to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety.
• Cleaning and sanitising designated production and operational areas in line with strict site procedures.
• Carrying out specialist hygiene cleaning tasks following detailed cleaning schedules and work instructions.
• Dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising floors, surfaces, equipment, and touchpoints.
• Adhering to all de-gowning and hygiene protocols before entering and exiting controlled areas.
• Ensuring all cleaning activities are completed in accordance with strict health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting stock requirements.
• Responding promptly to any hygiene or cleaning issues identified within the facility.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation where required.

Our Ideal Specialist Hygiene Cleaning Operative Will

• Be comfortable working in a high-risk environment where precision and attention to detail are critical.
• Have previous cleaning experience, ideally within hygiene, manufacturing, food production, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or similarly regulated environments (desirable but not essential).
• Be willing to undertake specialist training and continuously develop their skills.
