Job summary

Royal Home Care Inc. is seeking an experienced Special Needs Nanny and Paediatric Healthcare Assistant for a family home in Dublin 14. You will care for two school-aged sisters, including a 11-year-old with SMA Type 1, providing engaging nanny support and personal care assistance.

The role blends childcare with healthcare support, involves mobility assistance, hoisting, and assisting with therapies. Requires at least two years’ experience, a full driving licence, and current first-aid training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ relevant professional experience
• Experience supporting a child with a physical disability, complex care needs or additional needs
• Healthcare, paediatric care or special-needs care experience
• Confidence with personal care, hoisting and mobility support
• Willingness to learn and follow the eldest child’s individual care routines
• Full, clean driving licence
• Excellent, verifiable professional references
• Willingness to complete Garda Vetting

Responsibilities

• Providing age-appropriate care to two children
• Planning games and outdoor activities
• Encouraging independence and reduced screen time
• Assisting with homework and daily routines
• Preparing healthy meals and snacks
• Supporting the eldest child’s personal care and mobility
• Using a hoist and supporting wheelchair mobility
• Accompanying children to activities and appointments
• Assisting with evening and bedtime routines
• Managing child-related laundry and tidying bedrooms
