Job summary

Personio is seeking a Solutions Engineer based in Dublin, Amsterdam, or London to support UKI and Benelux sales with technical requirements and product expertise. You will collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to craft technical solutions and commercial proposals while traveling up to 20% of the time.

The role requires 2–3+ years in Solutions Engineering, a SaaS background, and strong English communication; Dutch is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar role.
• Technical background with SaaS, IT infrastructure, IT stack and security protocols.
• Customer-centric and commercially driven.
• Data-driven with analytical mindset; tailor efforts to customer needs.
• Up-to-date knowledge in security/compliance (e.g., ISO27k).
• English proficiency; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary contact for the sales team focused on UKI and Benelux.
• Collaborate with account executives to define technical requirements and solution scope.
• Be the product expert for sales and prospects.
• Support creation of commercial proposals and ROI/TCO calculations.
• Support other regions/markets as required.
• Travel to customer sites 10–20% of time.

As a Solution Engineer, you will be part of the Go to Market organization, reporting to the Manager of International Solutions Engineering. You will work primarily with our UKI & Benelux sales teams supporting sales opportunities and driving customer acquisition, while working on fun and challenging projects that help drive our business and market growth. You will also be the interface between Sales, Product & Eng, Customer Success on technical topics and product-related projects

Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

• You will be the primary point of contact for our sales team focused on working with our Medium Business customers in UKI and Benelux.

• You will collaborate with account executives on sales opportunities to determine and validate technical requirements, product use cases and solution scope

• As an SE, you’ll have deep technical knowledge of Personio’s product suite and be the first line of defense and product expert for sales and prospects

• You will support the creation of commercial proposals and executive presentations, including business value assessment with ROI/TCO calculations

• You will support other regions/markets as required

• Travel to customer site as needed (10-20% of time)

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

• You have 2-3+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering or a similar profession

• You have a technical background and understanding of SaaS, IT infrastructure, IT stack and security protocols

• You are customer-centric and commercially driven

• You are also data-driven, think analytically and are able to rightsize your efforts based on customer/business needs

• Up to date knowledge in security/compliance (e.g. ISO27k)

• Clear and structured communication style that can suit changing dynamics

• Full-professional proficiency in English required, Dutch is a plus

This role is office-based, with 3 days per week in your contracted office. The remaining days can be worked from home. You will also have 20 Flex Days per year to work remotely from other locations.
