Job summary

Activ8 Energies are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to support our Cashel-based team installing and commissioning domestic Solar PV systems. You will train alongside experienced electricians and gain practical experience while progressing through the electrical apprenticeship programme.

You will assist with installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance of solar PV systems on residential homes, while learning safety standards and SEAI guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for registration with SOLAS as an Electrical Apprentice.
• Keen interest in electrical work and technology.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and work well in a team.
• Physically capable of performing manual tasks and working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of Solar PV systems according to safe electric specifications and SEAI code of practice.
• Help prepare cables for the solar PV panels power supply.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues in solar systems.
• Work with the team to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
