Job summary

ILOS is seeking a commissioning engineer to support the handover of its Ballyhea project in County Cork, Ireland. The role collaborates with the EPC Project Manager, construction teams, grid stakeholders and asset management to ensure electrical systems are tested, commissioned and documented to approved designs.

The six-month term may extend up to ten months. The successful candidate will coordinate commissioning activities, resolve technical issues, ensure safety and deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or related.
• 3+ years in electrical commissioning or site supervision.
• Experience with LV/MV systems and grid connection.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor commissioning activities safely and on time.
• Review drawings, test procedures and handover requirements.
• Coordinate with EPCs, contractors, suppliers and grid stakeholders.
• Witness and verify LV/MV testing, inverters, transformers, protection, SCADA.
• Identify and close out defects with corrective actions.
• Ensure complete handover packs and as-built documentation.
• Verify inverter configurations and grid code settings.
• Support grid-connection testing and plant performance verification.
• Troubleshoot inverter, SCADA, protection and communication issues.
• Assist with transition from construction to operations.
• Provide regular progress updates to line manager.
