Job summary

Cpl in Dublin is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a fintech portfolio of cloud-based web applications. You will build and grow a high-performing software engineering team, working with product and architecture leaders to shape delivery.

You’ll drive technical delivery, evangelize best practices, and champion CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure-as-code and containerisation while coordinating with distributed teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in software engineering building scalable web apps.
• 5+ years direct people management leading engineering teams.
• Hands-on background across frontend and backend development.
• Experience delivering cloud-based applications and services.
• Knowledge of microservices, cloud deployments and API-led systems.
• Proven track record delivering mission-critical, highly available apps.
• Exposure to CI/CD, automated testing, IaC and containerisation.
• Proven success hiring, developing and retaining engineering talent.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, organisation and problem-solving.

Cpl is partnering with a leading fintech organisation to find an engineering leader who will take ownership of a portfolio of business-critical, cloud-based applications. You’ll build and grow a high-performing software engineering team while working side by side with product and architecture leaders to shape what gets delivered and when.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of software engineers building scalable, secure and resilient web applications
• Own technical delivery across a portfolio of business-critical applications and services
• Work with product owners, architects and senior stakeholders to turn strategy into prioritised roadmaps and delivery plans
• Raise the bar on engineering standards across development, testing, deployment and operational excellence
• Shape the design and delivery of cloud-native, microservices-based solutions

What you’ll bring
